I keep hearing about this MBROLA speech synthesizer. I think, though, that it's just a data base of voices and components and you'd have to create an actual synthesizer from it. I'm looking for one that's already created and that uses the Greek voices so I could use it on my Mac. Yes, I will be installing Bootcamp, Windows XP nd Hal, but it would be nice to be able to switch languages without having to switch synthesizers and opperating systems. lol Can anyone help me? Does anyone know of another Greek synth that works with Mac? What about ESPeak? Thanks.
Oh my. Ok, I just found this.

Has anyone used synthesizers like this, not necessarily Greek? Can I just install one and have it work ork like any normal synth? Will it work with Mac, particularly the Festicval? Something tells me I should seriously email this man and see what he has to say about all this. Glad to see he's continuing to work on this stuff.
well e-speak will not work on mac. i do like your ideas how ever some will and some will not work. i am not a vary experianced mac user my self but i know enough about the system to tell u this. I am wanting to get a mac or an iso image of mac tiger so i can install it in my v m ware. I'm not sure how i can find oe of them but i think i might just get a macintosh laptop or desktop and say screw windows because of vista and the updating stuff that they make u go threw. I will probably get a mac when i go to college cause i refuse to upgrade to vista. Yes i will have to put my ventrilo server in to speaks codeck but hey, it'll work. I think i'm rambling on and hardly answering a question u even had on here but yeah. i'll shut up now.
